Hydrowave washer is awful - ge hydrowave washer

My new GE Hydrowave washer uses so little water that many clothes do not even get wet. My husbands jeans and socks come out filty. This green feature is nonsense as my usual 2 loads a week is now 10 loads. You can wash only one or two sheets twin, or one sheet queen. The queen set does not get completely immersed but toddles around on top not moving downwards. My replaced washer could handle the entire bedset twin including comforter and mattress cover. I could not be more dissappointed. This machine is garbage and an energy/water eater due to the increased amount of loads I have to do.

I guess I am a little late for the party. I too have the GE HydroWave and it has not broken yet but my complaints are the same:
1) noisy as all get out. Ours is in the basement on concrete floor. I'd hate to hear what it is like in like a mudroom upstairs.
2) yes, i hear the banging too, expecting it to explode. Thanks for the "brick" info. I'll have to take a looks at that. (thanks Kellibigq)
3) Ours is now making a sound like a siren - sort of high pitched, slowly rising and lowering but only during a certain cycle.
4) but the biggest complaint is the low water lever. Like reported above our "super" level is a little above halfway full. I read another link that talks about two types of HydroWave. One having an "infuser" (that is supposed to fill up only halfway) and one having a normal agitator. I wonder my Hydrowave was made/set for an infuser but they put in an agitator.
Again, noisy and low water level but it has not broken (yet).

People talk about their washer banging.we took the front off of ours and their is literally a brick in the bottom for weight and it came loose.REALLY,a brick,it's 2013 and that's the best you could come up with!!!

I have the same problem. my settings for water level are small, medium, large, extra large and super. Uppnchekong the water levels during each setting they are the same. Why have all those buttons to choose from when the water level is the same. I called the service center and was told since this is an ENERGY efficient waer is only distributes 14 gallons of water per load. Why have many settings if you can only get one setting of water level? Very noisy machine as well. You hear every gear change during cycles. This machine will let you only wash small loads only. Forget this washer if you have more than one person in your home. Don't let the size of the wash tub fool you. Buy a washer you are familar with and come highly recommended by family and friends. I bought this washer 3 months ago and I regret it. Might save you on water bill but not on power bill since you now have to wash smaller loads of clothes.
