  • 2012 GE Hydrowave Washer Continually Fails!

I've had this washer for a over a year, and it has already had to be serviced twice! Luckily it was under the 1 year manufacturers warranty, but I guess my luck has run out because it's broken again and the warranty is up. The first time it broke the agitator separated from the machine and it shredded a 180$ duvet cover. The second service appointment had to be made because the repair technician just ordered the parts and had them sent to my house, as if I know how to install washing machine parts! Also during the duvet shredding incident, the whole agitator came loose and... More...

  • Hydrowave washer is awful

My new GE Hydrowave washer uses so little water that many clothes do not even get wet. My husbands jeans and socks come out filty. This green feature is nonsense as my usual 2 loads a week is now 10 loads. You can wash only one or two sheets twin, or one sheet queen. The queen set does not get completely immersed but toddles around on top not moving downwards. My replaced washer could handle the entire bedset twin including comforter and mattress cover. I could not be more dissappointed. This machine is garbage and an energy/water eater due to the increased amount of loads I have to... More...

I also have a new hydrowave washer and it only fills the bottom 2 inches of the washer tub. It's impossible to get anything clean. Is there a way to override the fill mechanism to add more water at each step. I never use less than the super size load, and the water level still is only 2 inches deep. I hate it.

We regret our purchase of the Hydrowave washer. After reading these reviews, we apparently aren't the only dissatisfied customers. No matter what water level setting you select, the water level remains the same...LOW, too low to even cover your clothes! I kept noticing stains on our clothes when I was ironing and wondering what they were. Well, when I ironed a brand new blouse and saw the same type of stain, I knew I had the washing machine to blame. I decided it must be a fabric softener stain - or maybe detergent. Who knows? It must have to do with the low water level.

How do I get my money back for this piece of crap?
